At last iPhone has their own Anti Virus for iPad.
It is an antivirus named VirusBarrier X6 version 10.5.5.
VirusBarrier X6 previously is Mac antivirus, until the version 10.5.5 it can be used for iPad.
Apple iPad offers users an antivirus program to scan the tablet from the program-threatening. The software is also referred to as the first antiviral for the iPad.
As quoted from Techworld, Monday (07/11/2011), Intego, a company security specialist software for Apple, has launched the X6 VirusBarrier, a security software for Mac and iPhone, which in the latest version 10.5.5, can be used also for iPad.
VirusBarrier X6 10.5.5 operates on Mac OS. Software systems work is by copying the contents of user folders to a PC, to check the file. Then for the iPad jailbreak case, the software will be able to describe the contents of the device as a whole. But Peter James from Intego says that the company did not recommend users to do the jailbreak on their iPad.
Losses for the use VirusBarrier X6 iPad initially for the Mac, it is not automatic software operates on the iPad, but first need a 'vision' into the internal storage, a thing which is quite time consuming.
As for using the iPad not jailbreak, VirusBarrier level examination will not be too deep. Although the chances of malicious programs will still exist, but likely quite small.
In addition, Intego VirusBarrier X6 for iPad also add some kerentahan Macs such as the ability to mark a suspicious URLs to be checked.
